Woooo Hooooo!

I'm getting my car back today!
Happy St. Patty's day to me!
After 2 weeks I am DONE with my rental car. My big ol' butt was not made to fit into a Chevy Cobalt.
I decided not to bake cookies for the guy who fixed my car for 2 reasons:
1 - I'm not that great in the kitchen.
2 - LAZINESS

But, I have assembled a gift basket for him containing:
Chocolate
cookies
ghiradelli hot cocoa mix,
cashew roca
cookies
chocolate
chocolate covered cookies
chocolate

seriously - theres about 15 or more items in the basket and theyre all variations of the above. Can you tell I was a little hungry and moody while I was shopping for it?

Shannanigans - I'm so glad to be back in my own car - what's weird though is that after driving a compact for 2 weeks, I now feel like I'm in a monster truck or something. Plus, now I'm noticing that it doesnt drive all that smoothly anymore, I was planning on buying a new car in about a year and a half - I think that I will probably be getting a new car within about a year. Something perhaps a little smaller, I do like the Jeep Liberty's.
Tanya - My car guy is a LONG time friend of my family and he's completely in love with my aunt. I gave him the gift basket because he saved me about $10,000. I'd just paid my car off a month before I was rearended & the insurance companies were talking about totaling my car. He knew that I'd just paid it off and that I would have liked to go without a car payment for a little while, so he did all of the repairs at his cost with no charge for labor in order to keep the costs down so that insurance would fix it. I'd planned on giving him a bottle of whiskey or something like that but found out that he's recently quit drinking.

Thanks Kim!
A couple of my coworkers saw the gift basket before I was able to pick up my car yesterday and said that I could easily have a side business... I'm thinking about it.

Hi Vanessa,
I read your post over on Crazy Aunt Purl about traveling to Europe, and I just wanted to encourage you to DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!! You will *not* regret it. I went to Europe alone for a month three years ago. I was 25 years old. I remember being terrified when I left English-language London and got on the Eurostar to Paris. I didn't know French except merci and bonjour. And it wasn't all smooth sailing. But I DID IT. And I went on to Switzerland, Italy, and many other placees. I went again in 2004 and I'm going in a month. If you can't find somebody to with you, screw them! Do it anyway! Even if you're scared sh*tless. Read Lonely Planet's message boards for inspiration.

/end of soapbox. :)
